I wanted to reach out to everyone in this list to say how much I will miss my old, sick friend Miguel. One of the things I admired most about Mike was how much he treasured Patricia, his sisters, his son and his friends. I count myself among that small group but now feel I could have done more to let him know how much I valued our association over the years, in his strange high school days, his ( and my) lost college years, and his years in Fredonia and Nevada. He was a unique soul, a constant searcher, the most loyal friend, and the consummate learner and teacher. He tended to put us all on pedestals that few deserved and always undervalued his own contributions to all our lives. I wish I could have told him that though it would take some convincing. He occupied a unique place among the associations in my own life and am just beginning to understand the void it leaves behind. Chuck Tampio 12/5/12
